Atlanta Art Week Event:

HOMEWORK (presented by UGA's Lamar Dodd School of Art and GSU's Ernest G. Welch School of Art and Design) | Westside

October 1st from 6 – 8 pm

The Works ATL, 1295 Chattahoochee Ave NW Suite #200B

About Event:

The University of Georgia and Georgia State University are collaborating on HOMEWORK, a pop-up exhibition featuring artwork selected from each of the two premier MFA programs for the 2024 edition of Atlanta Art Week.

Curated by Athens-based artist Didi Dunphy, HOMEWORK is an exciting look at the mixed media explorations of this emerging art community readying to launch into the professional field of visual arts.

Second- and third-year graduate candidates in HOMEWORK, working in a range of media, including metals, fiber, photography, and papermaking, explore concepts such as climate concern, identity politics, beauty, and storytelling.

HOMEWORK exhibition dates: Oct 1, 2024 - Oct 6, 2024

UGA invites Atlanta Art Week patrons to additionally visit the Athenaeum, the university’s contemporary art gallery in downtown Athens, to view the solo exhibition Rose Salane: Fission, or Eclipse, on view through November 23.
